Porco Rosso

After a curse transforms World War I pilot Marco Pagot into a pig, he adopts the name Porco Rosso and lives as a reclusive bounty hunter, chasing sky pirates across the Adriatic. He spends most of his time on a quiet island, venturing out only to claim bounties or visit Gina, a singer who runs the Hotel Adriano. During a trip to repair his damaged plane, Porco Rosso is ambushed and shot down by Donald Curtis, an ambitious young American pilot eager to make a name for himself. Donald boasts about killing the legendary "flying pig," but Porco survives and escapes. Determined not to let Gina down, he heads to the renowned Piccolo S.P.A. aircraft company, taking out a hefty loan to upgrade his plane. To his surprise, the lead engineer is Fio Piccolo, a 17-year-old eager to prove her skills. With her modifications, Porco Rosso prepares to face Donald in a proper duel and reclaim his reputation.
